"We just have to get better every game. Hopefully we are going to learn a lot from this game and it will make our kids wake up and know that they have to go to battle every day, particularly in practice. They have to compete harder and prepare better to play with teams like this. I think we can. We just have to find ways to do that."

On the play of Daiane Machado...
"She started slow but once she got going she took some better shots. She can really knock down the shot on the elbow. She followed our game plan defensively better. She took some charges, which are tough plays, and we need some tough hard-nosed kids. And we need players like that."

On what she will take from this game going forward...
"We just can't get shellshocked. We have to come out of the locker room and be more focused and determined. We got rattled early. Crystal had a 3-pointer that was waived off for a violation, which was true, but if that goes down we get a little confidence early and it might have been a little different. We have to find ways to get to the free-throw line, ways to score when they take away some of our strengths."
