Postgame Notes

  • UTA fell 80-52 to Georgia Tech on Sunday.
  • The loss was UTA's fourth consecutive after a 5-0 start. The loss is UTA's longest streak since 2015.
  • UTA is 0-2 all-time against Georgia Tech and 1-8 against the ACC.
  • Georgia Tech made 12 consecutive shots during a 19-0 run in the first quarter.
  • UTA outscored Georgia Tech 32-31 between the second and third periods.
  • Crystal Allen tied her career-high with 22 points. Allen's performance was her sixth of the season in double figures.
  • Rebekah VanDijk's double-double streak ended at two as the senior had eight points and eight rebounds.
  • Laurynn McGowen was one short of her season high with nine points.
  • UTA turned the ball over 14 times in the first 10 minutes, finishing with 22 overall.
  • The Lady Mavs got the lead to as low as 16 points in the fourth, but an 8-0 run lifted Georgia Tech's lead above 20 points for the remainder.
  • UTA used its sixth different starting lineup of the season. Crystal Allen and Rebekah VanDijk are the lone Lady Mavs who have started in every game thus far.
  • The Lady Mavs finish the road portion of nonconference on Dec. 17 at Arkansas, and then non-league action at College Park Center on Dec. 21 as part of a men's and women's doubleheader.
  • UTA is 0-6 all-time against Arkansas, meeting for the first time since 2011. The Lady Mavs are 5-23 against teams currently in the SEC.
