Postgame Notes
- UTA improved to 18-7 overall and 11-4 in the Sun Belt. The 11 wins ties UTA's best SBC record since joining the conference in 2013-14. UTA's 18-7 overall record is on pace with besting the overall program winning percentage set in 2006-07 at .727 as well as chances for the most wins in a season, in the same year at 24.
- Cierra Johnson scored a game-high 22 points on 9-11 shooting. She was one rebound short of a double-double with nine rebounds. Johnson moved beyodn Gale Haynes with her 72nd steal of the season to earn her third place in the UTA single-season top-10.
- Ericka Mattingly tied a career-high with nine assists. The mark also ties herself with the 11-best assist total in single-game history.
- Crystal Allen had her second-consecutive game with big numbers from long range. Allen knocked down four 3-pointers and totaled 16 points.
- Troy entered as the No. 2 rebounding team in the nation and were outdone by UTA 43-41 on the boards. UTA used the advantage to turn a 17-13 advantage in second-chance points.
- UTA entered the fifth-best team in the nation with more than 22 turnovers forced per game and equaled that mark by forcing the Trojans into 22.
- UTA shot 42.6 percent compared to Troy's 35.4. The Trojans took just four more shots in the contest as UTA hit nine treys compared to Troy's six.
- The Lady Mavericks conclude their regular-season home slate on Saturday against South Alabama. UTA will honor four-year player Allyson Te'o and two-year transfer Breck Clark before the game.
