Postgame Notes

  • UTA fell to 15-5 overall and 8-2 in the Sun Belt with its first home conference defeat. The loss ended UTA's six-game home streak. Texas State improved to 11-10 and 6-4 in the league after ending what was a three-game skid against UTA.
  • Rebekah VanDijk jumped to 13th in UTA's all-time scoring charts as she finished with a team-high 14 points. VanDijk has scored in double figures in all 20 games this season.
  • With two blocks in the contest, VanDijk jumped into the Sun Belt's Top-25 as she is now tied for 24th for career blocks.
  • Cierra Johnson moved into sixth in UTA's all-time steal charts as she finished with three steals.
  • Texas State outscored the Lady Mavericks 28-26 in the paint on Saturday. UTA outscored TXST 42-14 in the first meeting with the Bobcats on Jan. 7 as UTA won 61-39.
