Postgame Notes

  • UTA fell for the second consecutive Sun Belt game to fall to 15-6 overall and 8-3 in league play. Little Rock improved to 18-6 and undefeated in the SBC through its first 12 games. The two-game SBC skid is the team's longest losing streak in conference this season and tied for longest of the year.
  • Despite being held under double digits for the first time this season, Rebekah VanDijk moved into 10th in UTA history in field goals made. She has 435 in her career. With two blocks, she moved up to 22nd in Sun Belt history with 135 in her career.
  • Cierra Johnson moved up to ninth in UTA history with the 209th assist of her career. Johnson was one of two Lady Mavs to score in double figures at 15 points. Crystal Allen scored a team-high 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting that included 3-4 from 3-point land. The 16 points in a new season high for the junior transfer, besting 14 she scored against Louisiana.
  • For the first time this season UTA was unable to hold a halftime and third quarter lead. UTA entered having won the first 12 games when leading after both at half and after the third.
  • The fourth quarter had been solid for the Lady Mavericks all season, however, Little Rock made its run during the period to overcome a deficit and outscore UTA 28-17 in the fourth.
  • UTA led for 32:56 and led from tip until the first minute of the fourth. Little Rock led for just five minutes and had its biggest lead of nine with 10 seconds left in the game.
  • Little Rock had a 20-8 advantage in made free throws, helped along by UTA getting called for 25 fouls compared to LR's 12. UTA had five players finish with four fouls, including four of five of the starting lineup.
  • UTA closes out its three-game homestand on Saturday against Arkansas State at 2 p.m.
