  • South Alabama - receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches' Poll - topped UTA 76-63.
  • UTA used the starting lineup of Shelby Richards, Laurynn McGowen, Aysia Evans, Crystal Allen and Rebekah VanDijk for the third consecutive time. UTA has used eight different lineups in the first 15 games. The lineup is 2-1 this season.
  • VanDijk moved into second in UTA history for rebounds after grabbing eight on Saturday. VanDijk has 981 in her career and is 19 away from becoming UTA's first player to have 1,000 points and rebounds.
  • VanDijk became the sixth player in UTA history to score more than 1,400 points.
  • South Alabama's Chyna Ellis had a double-double with a game-high 20 points and 11 rebounds. Ellis scored her 1,000th point against UTA. VanDijk scored her 1,000th at South Alabama last season.
  • UTA is 7-4 all-time against South Alabama and 2-2 at College Park Center. The loss ended a four-game streak against the Jaguars. The matchup is the lone scheduled for the regular season.
  • UTA travels to take on Little Rock on Thursday night to begin a breif two-game road stand.
  • Crystal Allen scored 13 points for her ninth double-digit scoring effort of the season.
  • Laurynn McGowen finished with 11 points.
  • VanDijk's two blocks gave the senior 13 over the last three games.
  • UTA fell for the first time this season when forcing more turnovers than giving up, UTA is 6-1 in the tally this season.
  • The Lady Mavs are 1-7 when trailing going into the final 10 minutes (6-0 when leading).
