Box Score MOBILE, Ala. – The UT Arlington women's tennis (9-4, 0-1 SBC) dropped their Sun Belt Conference opener against the South Alabama Jaguars on Saturday in Mobile, 4-2.
 
Liz Chileno and Nanaka Takeuchi won the No. 2 doubles competition 6-1 over Alexandria Stiteler and Yu Fujioka, but the Mavs would lose the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles competitions to lose the doubles point.
 
In singles play, Momoka Horiguchi and Lucia Natal started off the Mavs on the right foot, winning their matches in straight sets in the No. 1 and No. 4 spots. Horiguchi was 6-2, 6-0, while Natal won 6-2, 6-3.  The Mavs were unable to capture the final two points needed, as the Jaguars won their fourth point to end the match.
 
The Mavs will look to rebound tomorrow when they travel to Troy, Alabama to take on the Troy Trojans.
