Box Score TROY, Ala. – The UT Arlington women's tennis team (9-5, 0-2 SBC) was unable to rebound from a doubles competition point loss to start the match, losing to the Troy Trojans 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.
 
After losing the No. 1 doubles competition 6-2, Almudena Boza and Carla Vives fought hard in the No. 3 spot to try to give the Mavs a chance to win the doubles point.  They were unable to get the deciding seventh point, however, falling to Maria Casas Blas and Celia M. Estevan 7-6.  Nanaka Takeuchi and Liz Chileno were tied at six in their match when the Trojans clinched the point.
 
Singles started with Troy winning two more points before Carla Pons won a decisive 6-3, 6-3 match over Pei Ju Hsieh in the No. 2 singles competition. Liz Chileno and Alumdena Boza both followed suit, winning their matches in three sets to tie the overall score at three.  Looking to win their fourth point, Momoka Horiguchi couldn't pull out a win in the No. 1 competition, falling in a three-set battle, 6-4, 5-7, 6-7.
