Box Score BOONE, North Carolina – After clinching a spot in the Sun Belt Tournament, the UT Arlington women's tennis team traveled to Boone, North Carolina to take on the first place Mountaineers of Appalachian State, falling 4-0.
 
The Mountaineers got the morning going by winning the doubles point in the No. 1 and No. 3 competitions. Nanaka Takeuchi and Liz Chileno fell on court one to Heidi Swope and Jose Maria Zacarias 6-4.  App State wrapped up the doubles point victory with a win over Almudena Boza and Lucia Natal on court three, 6-4.
 
Appalachian State continued to win points once singles play began.  Carla Pons had to retire on court two, giving the Mountaineers their second point of the match. Teodora Sevo quickly added the third point App State with a 6-1, 6-2 win on court one over Momoka Horiguchi.  The match ended when Lucia Natal fell on court three to Jose Maria Zacarias, 6-4, 6-4.

The Mavs will wrap up the season on Sunday, April 14 at 10 a.m. when they travel to Coastal Carolina to take on the Chants.
