Box Score ARLINGTON, Texas - After a couple hours of delay, the UT Arlington women's tennis team made quick work of Arkansas State, defeating the Red Wolves 4-0 for a Senior Day win. The Mavericks are now 14-7 overall and 4-2 in Sun Belt competition. 

The Mavs cruised to a doubles point victory, getting wins in the No. 1 and No. 3 competitions.  Nanaka Takeuchi and Liz Chileno shut out Anita Detlava and B. Masdevall Masip 6-0 in the No. 1 spot.  Almudena Boza and Lucia Natal completed a 6-3 victory over Pornpawee Pramethong and Amelia Guevremont to clinch the doubles point for UTA.

After winning the doubles point, Takeuchi got right back to work in singles play, defeating Detlava again, this time 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 3 spot.  Senior Carla Vives jumped in the No. 6 competition, clinching the third point for the Mavericks with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Guevremont.  Natal wrapped up the match with a 6-3, 6-4 straight set win over Shelby King to complete the 4-0 shut out win for the Mavericks.

UP NEXT
The Mavericks will play their final three matches on the road, all against Sun Belt opponents.  The final stretch begins in San Marcos on Tuesday, April 9 when they take on Texas State at 1 p.m.
