LUBBOCK, Texas – The UT Arlington men's and women's indoor track teams were in action Friday at the highly competitive Red Raider Invitational at the Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Two Mavericks had top-5 finishes against the elite field.
Bryson DeBerry, the highest rated Sun Belt Conference high jumper, tied for fourth in the men's event after clearing 6-foot-8 (2.03m). In addition,
Marquentin Barnes was fourth in the men's mile with his best time of the season (4:24.30).

Madeleine Rowe, who has the league's fastest time in the mile, finished sixth in the women's 800 meters. She crossed the line with a clocking of 2:17.16.

Nolan Daggs placed sixth in the men's weight throw after posting a mark of 57-3 ¾ (17.47m). Also in the field,
Darius Prescott was eighth in the triple jump with a leap of 49-6 ¼ (15.09m).

Dominick Yancy was seventh in the 400 meters with a time of 48.06, the second-fastest time in the SBC this season.

Juleen Lewis grabbed ninth in the triple jump at 39-4 ½ (12.00m).
Tyler Rodriguez also had a top-10 finish, coming in ninth in the mile (4:28.30).

In addition to UTA, Friday's meet featured Air Force, Arizona, Arkansas, Houston, North Texas, Oklahoma State, Sam Houston State, TCU, Texas State, Texas Tech and Washington State.

UTA will return to action next Saturday (Feb. 1) at the Wendy's/Pittsburg State Invitational.
