@UTAMavsBSB Picked To Win West Division

ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington baseball team was voted to win the Sun Belt Conference West Division in the preseason coaches' poll released Thursday by the league.

In voting conducted by the league's 12 coaches, the Mavericks garnered 58 points and three first-place votes.  Louisiana was picked second with 57 points (five first place votes), Texas State was picked third with 55 points (three first place votes), Little Rock was picked fourth with 39 points (one first place vote), ULM was picked fifth (25 points) and Arkansas State was picked sixth in the West (18 points). UTA finished last season with a 32-26 record, including a 17-12 record in Sun Belt play en route to a third-place finish. Mavs return seven position players and 11 pitchers this year, while welcoming seven newcomers to the squad.  The team features just one freshman on the squad, while boosting 14 seniors.

The start to the 2020 slate will have UTA at home a lot, as the Mavericks will play 11 of the first 16 games of the season at Clay Gould Ballpark. The Mavs open the season at home with a three-game set with Texas A&M - Corpus Christi (Feb. 14-16).

SEASON TICKETS
Season tickets are available for baseball for $75, while softball is $25.  All seating is general admission. Individual tickets for both baseball and softball will $6, except for the March 24 baseball contest against TCU, which will be $10. Children aged two and under, as well as UTA students with an ID, get in to all games for free.
