WACO, Texas – Two weeks after opening their season in Waco, the UT Arlington men's tennis team will head back to Waco this weekend (Oct. 10-11) for the Waco ITA UTR Fall Tournament.
Â
"We are looking forward to this week and excited about the opportunity to compete," Head Coach Diego Benitez said.Â
Â
This will be the second time traveling to Waco for the men's team. Sophomore Alan Sau Franco will look to improve upon his already strong start to the fall season. He opened the year with a deep run at the UTR Waco Tournament by defeating two Texas A&M Aggies along the way to a semi-final appearance.
Â
The rest of the squad will be looking to get back where they left off at the end of the 2020 season, when they were ranked No. 85 in the nation in the final ITA Poll, led by Angel Diaz and his 8-0 spring record.
