WICHITA, Kan. – The UT Arlington women's tennis team (4-1) will head to the Sunflower State for matches against Wichita State and Tulane on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The match against the Shockers will be at 4:30 p.m., while they will take on the Green Wave at 9:00 a.m. at the Coleman Tennis Complex.
UTA NOTES

This will be the first match for the Mavericks in two weeks. In their last outing, they defeated the Roadrunners of UTSA 5-2 at the UTA Tennis Center.

These will be the first two matches away from the UTA Tennis Center this spring for the Mavericks. Last season they finished 4-5 on the road. Â
• The Mavs are 18-9 in dual singles matches this spring.Â
Lucia Natal leads the pack with four wins, while
Carla Pons sits at a perfect 3-0 thus far.
• In doubles action, the Mavericks are just 6-7.Â
Liz Chileno and
Nanaka Takeuchi lead the Mavericks with two wins as the main No. 1 doubles team.
SCOUTING WICHITA STATE
The Shockers are 1-8 this season, with their lone win coming against Abilene Christian on opening weekend. Their last outing came last weekend in a 4-0 loss against Rice. Marta Bellucco leads WSU with 11 wins this season. After going 8-3 in the fall, she has stumbled to a 3-3 record in the spring.
SCOUTING TULANE
The Green Wave are 6-3 this spring and are coming off a 4-1 loss to SMU in New Orleans. This will be the first match outside the state of Louisiana for Tulane. Mackenzie Clark has yet to lose a match in the No. 1 singles spot, sporting a perfect 4-0 record in the spring.

ON DECK
The Mavs will stay on the road for two matches in Houston next weekend (Feb 28-29), where they will take on Houston and UConn.
