INSIDE THE SCORES
- Murray began her round on the 10
th and produced a 35 (-1) – the best of the Mavs – before entering the front 9. She played in 2-under as her card featured just two bogeys, 16 pars and three birdies which came on holes 1, 14 and 17.
- Garber – who opened on the 11th – got off to a hot start as she played the first eight holes in even with birdies on 11 and 14 before making the turn. From there, the graduate student maintained the same momentum as she played the back 9 in even with two more birdies on 3 and 9 to cap the round of 72.
- Hlynsdottir opened on hole 10 and played in +1 through the opening nine holes with the only hiccup coming from a bogey on 11. The junior settled in nicely with two-straight birdies on holes 2 and 3 that put her 1-under. Unfortunately, a trio of big numbers set her back as she played the final hole in +3.
- Adams – who started on hole 11 – led UTA with five birdies on the day as she played in an impressive -2 through the first 13 holes. Unfortunately, a triple and two doubles over 6-8 derailed her momentum for the rest of the round.
- After withdrawing from yesterday's 2nd round due to a back injury, Gonzalez was back on the course for today's final round and began her day on back side. She played in +2 through the first 12 holes with back-to-back bogeys on 15 and 16. Despite not rolling a single birdie, she was able to record 15 pars – the second-best of the Mavs.
- As an individual, Howard began her day on the front side – hole 6 – and made two bogeys on 7 and 8, but was able to get her card back to +1 courtesy of a birdie on the 10th. She followed it up with an unfortunate triple bogey on 11 that set her back for the remainder of the round. However, she was able to collect her second birdie on 4.
THIS AND THAT
- Hlynsdottir tied for 1st across the 90-player field with 39 pars- joined by Arkansas State's Elise Shultz.
- As a team, UTA finished with the 3rd-best par-3 scoring average (3.23, +13) as the Mavs trailed host, Arkansas State (3.25, +12), and Lipscomb University (3.20, +12).
