Sydney Garber continue to pace UTA as the two tabbed rounds of 73 in the 2nd round of the Little Rock Classic on Monday to lead the UT Arlington women's golf team to a 295-team score with the final round on deck Tuesday.
The Mavs shaved one shot off their 1st-round total of 296 and remain in 4th place in the 11-team field with a team record-shattering 36-hole 591 total.

INSIDE THE SCORES
Hlynsdottir
- Hlynsdottir went out in 1-over 37 with her first birdie on the par-5, 485-yard 4th. On the back nine, she continued to play in +1 with a birdie on 12 to cap the round of 73.
Garber
- Garber, like Hlynsdottir, birdied the 4th as she played the front nine in even before entering the back side. With her only hiccups coming from a pair of bogeys on 5 and 13, Garber went on to collect 16 pars total – most of the Mavericks – to come in at 1-over.
Murray
- Murray had her scorecard at 3-over through the first 11 holes that featured six pars and three bogeys. With eight pars on the back nine, Murray was able to tab a round of 74 with birdies on 12 and 18.
Howard
- Howard had her card at just 1-over through 11 holes courtesy of three birdies coming on 4, 6 and 11 and four bogeys. From there, Howard was able to birdie the par-3 12th to get her card back at level par. However, three bogeys over the final four holes unfortunately had her come in at +3.
Tan
- After a tough front side in which she posted a 45, Tan unfortunately, could not gain any momentum on the back side but would be able to record seven pars throughout her round.
Ray
- Ray began her start on the back side and shot even through the first three holes but followed it up with a pair of big numbers that derailed her momentum. However, the junior would be able to birdie holes 3 and 6.
THIS AND THAT
- As a team, UTA sits in 3rd place with a 3.13 (+5) par-3 average and is just three shots shy of host, Little Rock, as they reside in third place on the leaderboard.
- Hlynsdottir is tied for second with a 4.63 (-3) par-5 average and tied for third with a 2.88 (-1) par-3 average.
- Garber is tied for 5th place across the 66-player field with 27 pars.
