Site of the 2015 U.S. Open won by Jordan Spieth, Chambers Bay welcomed the Mavs with open arms back in 2019 when UTA picked the course apart en route to a 54-hole 841 (-11) team total – the 4th-best in program history. Included in that performance was a 2nd-round 10-under 274 – tied for the 4th-best round in program lore, and representing UTA's best-ever 2nd round.
Â
Individually, Tanner Gore fired a final-round 6-under 65 – tying for the 4th-best round in program history. That was part of the 2nd-best three-round total by a player in program annals as he signed for an 11-under 202 – bested only by a 201 in 2007 by Zack Reeves.
Â
Cox, then a freshman, shot +2 (215) for the week back in 2019, while Gonzalez, then a sophomore, secured what was at the time the best 54-hole score of his career with a 3-under 210 showing. Those two along with Hicks (+6, 219) were the three Mavs in the lineup that week who return to the links-style layout this year.

LINEUP INFORMATION
- Cox occupies the top spot in the Maverick lineup for the second-straight tournament after leading UTA a couple of weeks ago at Texas's George Hannon Invitational with closing rounds of 70 and 71, respectively. The junior is tied for the team lead in scoring average this year at 73.17 over six rounds.
 - After action this week, Hicks and Cronje will be the only team members to have competed in all five events bridging the fall and spring seasons. Hicks carries a 74.92 scoring average over 12 rounds, while Cronje resides at 76.25 over the same amount of action. Cronje boasts a team-low-tying round of 67 this season, while Hicks possesses the 2nd-most par-or-better rounds with four.
 - Jones will be making his spring debut after competing in both of UTA's fall events on consecutive weeks in mid-October. The junior has a 76.00 scoring average over those six rounds, but has delivered an even-par 72 and 1-under 71 in those opportunities.
 - Gonzalez, who missed his first-ever event as a Mav earlier this month with an injury, returned to the lineup at UT's event and looks to improve from an uncharacteristically poor performance. The senior leads the team with five par-or-better performances in nine rounds this year, and his scoring average of 74.89 is tops among those team members who have teed it up in at least three tournaments.
