  • Josh Minjarez is closing in on a couple records for UTA. The sixth year senior will break the record for games played on Saturday when he takes the field for the 231st time.. His mark of 229 games played is also the 5th highest active mark in the country. He also has the 3rd most at-bats (818) and 7th most base hits (230), 5th most total bases (342), and 7th most home runs (23). Minjarez is now tied for 10th place in career doubles (37) after hitting one in Wednesday's win over Kansas.
  • The long ball has been a friend for the Mavericks this season. When hitting at least one home the Mavs are 13-5.  When the Mavs fail to go deep, UTA has a 4-15 record.
  • UTA is toward the end of a stretch where 16 of their 20 games are on the road. The Mavericks are currently 6-7 at visiting ballparks during the stretch.
