MONROE, La. - The first-place Sun Belt West UT Arlington baseball team will head to Monroe to take on the ULM Warhawks for a three-game series set to begin Friday, May 7 at 6 p.m. All three games will be aired on ESPN+.

UTA NOTES

• With the sweep over Little Rock last weekend, the Mavericks now control their own destiny as they sit atop the Sun Belt West with a 10-5 record.
• The Mavericks return 90 percent of their innings pitched and 95 percent of their strikeouts from a season ago.
• Josh Minjarez is closing in on a couple records for UTA. Against McNeese State he broke the all-time games play record, appearing in his 231st career game. His mark of 237 games played is also the 3rd highest active mark in the country. He also has the 2nd most at-bats (848) and 7th most base hits (234), 5th most total bases (347), and 7th most home runs (23). Minjarez is also tied for 9th place in career doubles (38).
• Boone Montgomery and Phillip Childs each enter the weekdn with streaks on the line.  Montgomery has reached base on a team-high 20 straight games, while Childs is on an 18 game streak.
• Connor Aube has now hit seven sacrifice flies on the season - second in the NCAA. He is just one behind the leader - Brian Leonhardt (San Diego State).
• After dropping the first SBC series against South Alabama, the Mavericks have now won the last four conference series.
• Dylan Paul is one of three mavericks battling for to lead the team in RBI. Paul currently leads the team and has a career-high 35 RBI on the season.  Connor Aube and Andrew Miller are one behind with 34 RBI.

KNOW YOUR OPPONENT | ULM

• The Warhawks are extremely aggressive on the base path. ULM not only leads the Sun Belt Conference with 72 stolen bases but is also 10th in the NCAA.
• ULM is 20-21 overall and sits in last place in the SBC with a 7-11 record, but has recently found their groove. The Warhawks have won their last two Sun Belt series and 9 of their last 13 games.
• The Warhawks are second in the Sun Belt in batting average, hitting .271 on the season. They also lead the country and the nation with 48 sacrifice bunts.
• Three Warhawks are hitting above .300 on the season, led by Trace Henry's .326 average.  Travis Washburn (.323) and Ryan Humeniuk (.318) are second and third on the team.
• Three different ULM pitchers have been utilized out of the bullpen this season.  Carson Orton (4 saves), Trey Lindsay (3 saves) and Lucas Wepf (3 saves) lead the squad in saves.

SERIES HISTORY
The Mavericks and Warhawks have played 83 previous times since 1985 with UTA owning a 49-34 record.  The Mavericks hold a 25-16 record in Monroe, but ULM has won four of the past five games.
