Bullard, who also picked up his first career professional start on Saturday night for the Railroaders, was the Saturday pitcher for each week in 2020 and 2021. During the 2021 season, Bullard led the Mavericks with 15 starts and finished with a team-high seven wins. He held the lowest ERA amongst starting pitchers, sporting a 3.02 ERA on the season. He was also second on the team in strikeouts, sitting down 83 batters across the season.

On March 12, Bullard struck out a career-high 10 batters against Lamar, and he struck out at least five batters in eight of his starts. His ERA was the fifth best in the Sun Belt Conference, as was his .219 opposing batting average.

Bullard joins former UTA standout Noah Vaughan on the 2021 Railroaders squad.
