Opened in February of 2019, the state-of-the-art Texas Rangers Golf Club is the new home of UTA's men's and women's golf programs. The world's only Major League Baseball-branded golf course, TRGC is the result of a $24 million renovation and updated routing of the former Chester W. Ditto Golf Course.

INSIDE THE LINEUP
- A transfer from Coastal Carolina, Hlynsdottir earned the top spot in head coach Catherine Matranga's lineup and will be making her UTA debut. She has a pair of career-low rounds of 71 to her name, and posted a 75.54 scoring average in five events last year as a sophomore with the Chanticleers.
 - Murray continues her streak of competing in every single tournament in program history, dating back to 2017-18 – a total of 104 rounds over 35 tournaments. Murray is ranked 1st in program history in all of the following career categories: scoring average (77.40), par-or-better rounds (11; tied with Kate Tran), counting scores (95), finish percentage (58.1) and birdies (189).
 - Tan became a fixture in the UTA lineup last year after lowering her stroke average by approximately three shots for the second-straight year from her freshman campaign (84.93 to 81.39 to 78.60). She competed in all five regular-season events for the Mavs in 2020-21, and carded a career-best 72 in the opening round of the UTA Invitational.
 - Gonzalez ranked 3rd on the Mavs in scoring average last season at 77.36 in her initial year with UTA after transferring from Division-II St. Edwards. Gonzalez posted a 3.28 scoring average on par-3 holes last year to rank as the 7th-best in single-season program history, and her 4.34 average on par 4s was the 6th-best.
 - Ray will be making her first appearance in the team lineup since last year's season-opening UTA Invite. The junior – whose only two collegiate seasons have been truncated due to COVID – has teed it up in five total events with the Mavs and holds a scoring average of 81.33 over 15 rounds.
- UTA's aforementioned first-ever tournament took place at the USA Intercollegiate from Sept. 16-18, 2017. The Mavs posted an 8th-place finish in that event; UTA returned to the USA Intercollegiate again in 2018, finished 17th.
 - Murray is the only member of the team lineup this weekend who has experience in the event, and she will be looking to improve upon T-44 and T-48 finishes as a freshman and sophomore, respectively.
 - Matranga has been with the program since it began, being hired as an associate head coach in July of 2016 in advance of the initial 2017-18 campaign. A former All-American at TCU, Matranga served as UTA's interim head coach in 2018-19 before being promoted to head coach in advance of the 2019-20 season.
 - She is joined on staff this year by former UTA men's golfer Zach Cole. Cole is in his first year as an assistant coach with the program following a strong playing career as an undergraduate which spanned 13 tournaments. His best performance came last fall when he posted consecutive rounds of 68 and a career-best 67 at the Little Rock Invitational.
 - Named a "Top 50 Public Courses" by Golf World Magazine readers and listed in Golf Digest's "Places to Play" as one of the nation's great value courses, The Crossings Course at RTJ Trail at Magnolia Grove has hosted LGPA Tour events.
UTA will take a three-week break from competitive action before returning to action Sept. 27-28 at Sam Houston's Bearkat Invitational.
