Box Score DALLAS, Texas --- Sarina Reinertsen won the purple draw singles championship to highlight the weekend action for the UT Arlington women's tennis team in the SMU Red and Blue Challenge at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex.
 
Reinertsen defeated Matilde Morais (North Texas) 6-2, 6-1, Jade Otway (TCU) 6-7, 7-6, 10-5 and Lana Mavor (SMU) 4-6, 7-6, 10-7 to claim the title. Ioana Dumitrescu also produced three singles victories in round robin play, topping Eva Arranz and Paula Garrote of Abilene Christian, as well as Chase Metcalf of Butler.
 
In addition to that, Reinertsen and Dumitrescu also nearly added three doubles victories as they teamed up to defeat Texas A&M - Corpus Christi and Abilene Christian before falling to North Texas in the third match of the six-team doubles event.
 
In the blue doubles draw, the duo of Francisca Vergara and Ana Paula Jimenez won two of three matches, which included victories over North Texas and Butler.
 
The Mavs will now have a couple weeks off before concluding their fall schedule Nov. 3-5 at the Rice Invitational in Houston.
