Energy Sparks Record Turnout At UTA Baseball's Alumni Golf Outing

ARLINGTON, Texas --- The UT Arlington baseball team held the 31st Annual Alumni Golf Outing on the afternoon of Oct. 14 at the Texas Rangers Golf Club.

"I was so happy to be part of this great event," UT Arlington head baseball coach Clay Van Hook said. "The energy was awesome, and it was fun meeting some of the greats who built this program."

The event saw a record 122 former players participate in the event, which helped raise $25,395.

"This year was very different, especially in terms of energy," Alumni Club President Jeff Burrow (1988-91) said. "We have a new president, a new AD, a new head coach and a new conference. Things have changed dramatically, and the energy around the program has never been greater, which was evident in our record-breaking attendance. The event couldn't have gone better, and it will help turn UTA in a better direction. We couldn't be happier with the turnout."

The team of Paul Paramo, Justin Reagan, William Rose and Tony Vilaros won the event in a tiebreaker over Logan Bawcom, Steffan Guest, Andy Sauter and Jeff Storms.
