Women's Tennis Hosts SE Oklahoma State, Cameron

ARLINGTON – The undefeated UT Arlington women's tennis team (7-0) will look to continue their streak to start the season as they host Southeastern Oklahoma State and Cameron on Sunday, February 20 at the UTA Tennis Center.
 
The Mavericks are winning 85 percent of their singles matches this spring, with Sarina Reinertsen (7-0), Tara Gorinsek (7-0), Ana Paula Jimenez (6-0) and Ioana Dumitrescu (2-0) all having undefeated marks early in the season.  Reinertsen and Paula Jimenez lead the Mavs with 13 wins, including tournament play.  Gorinsek is third on the team with 12 wins.
 
Liz Chileno and Momoka Horiguchi have split time at court one, going a combined 5-2.
 
UTA has been equally as impressive in doubles action, winning 81.3 percent of their matches.  Momoka Horiguchi is a perfect 6-0 on the season, playing with Tara Gorinsek (2-0) and Ana Paula Jimenez (4-0). Paula Jimenez is also 6-0, all on court two.
 
SCOUTING SE OKLAHOMA STATE
Southeastern Oklahoma State is currently 1-0 on the year with a win over UTPB on Monday.  They will be playing DBU and UT Tyler on Friday and Saturday before heading to Arlington to take on the Mavericks. The two teams have played one time prior, with the Mavericks winning 7-0 last season in Arlington.
 
SCOUTING CAMERON
Cameron is currently 2-2 on the season, defeating Collin County and Southern Arkansas, while losing to Tyler JC.  Kateryna Rudenko leads the Aggies with a 3-0 mark on court four. The Mavericks are 3-2 against Cameron, dating back to 1991.  The Mavericks have won three in a row, including a 7-0 match last season in Arlington
 
ON DECK
UTA will stay in the Metroplex, traveling to Dallas to take on SMU next Sunday, Feb. 27 for a noon match.
