GULF SHORES, Ala. – The UT Arlington women's golf team concluded South Alabama's Bama Beach Bash Monday as the Mavericks posted team totals of 327 and 321 to place 16th. 

The Mavs were originally scheduled to play 18 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday, but due to forecasted weather, UTA went on to complete the tournament with 36 holes on Monday.

Murray

• Murray began her second round on 15 as she shot in +2 through the first six holes with bogeys on 9 and 1. She went on to play the final 12 holes in +10 after a double on the 3rd and a triple on the 11th. However, the graduate student would be able to roll her lone birdie of the round – which came on 8.  
• Unfortunately, Murray couldn't bounce back after a tough second round as a trio of big numbers were too much to recover from as she capped a final-round 81.

Hlyndsottir

• Hlynsdottir capped a 2nd-round 82 as the junior's card featured seven pars, one triple and 10 pars. Unfortunately, Hlynsdottir was unable to record a single birdie.
• The junior posted her best round of the tournament as she tabbed a final-round 78 – the best of the Mavs. Hlynsdottir had a flawless first seven holes as she played in -2. Five consecutive bogeys over 4-8 were too much to recover from but she was able to roll four birdies throughout her final round.

Garber

• Garber improved her individual score by four shots in Monday's second round. The graduate student began her day on 14 as played the first nine in just 1-over with a birdie coming on 17. She capped the round of 79 after a triple on 10 derailed her momentum.
• The graduate student struggled in her final round as she was unable to card a single birdie with two triples on 8 and 17. She capped the round of 83 with 12 pars.

 
Howard

• Howard tabbed a 2nd-round 84 after nine bogeys and two doubles were too much to overcome throughout her round. However, Howard would be able to roll a birdie – which came on 16.
• Howard shaved five shots from her 2nd-round 84 as the senior tabbed a final-round 79. Howard was the only Mavericks who didn't put anything above a bogey on her card as it consisted of eight bogeys, nine pars and a birdie on 9.

The Mavericks will take a two week break from competition before heading to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to compete in Oral Robert' Spring Invitational (Apr.11-12) from The Club at Indian Springs.
