OREM, UTAH --- The No. 4 UT Arlington volleyball team (20-9) will begin the program's 40th postseason conference tournament appearance with a Western Athletic Conference (WAC) quarterfinal matchup against No. 5 Utah Valley (11-16) at 8 p.m. CT on Thursday inside Lockhart Arena.
Â
WHAT TO KNOW
UT Arlington enters Thursday's matchup with a 54-31 record all-time in postseason conference tournaments dating back to 1982 and including appearances in the Southland Conference (45-20), Sun Belt Conference (9-9) and WAC (0-2). The only two seasons the Mavs did not qualify for postseason play were 2005 and 2008.
Â
The 54-31 all-time record includes a 17-10 record in quarterfinal games, an 8-2 record against No. 5 seeds and a 6-7 record as a No. 4 seed. UTA has made 16 championship match appearances with a 10-6 record. Head coach
J.T. Wenger is 5-6 in conference tournament play as he enters his seventh appearance.
Â
The Mavs will get a chance to avenge a quarterfinal round loss to the Wolverines last year. In that matchup, Utah Valley produced a four-set victory in UTA's first WAC tournament appearance since the program's one-year stint in the conference in 2012.
Â
UTA previously defeated Utah Valley in both meetings this year, a three-set sweep on the road Sept. 30 and a four-set win inside the College Park Center Nov. 2.

FORD, REAGOR EARN ALL-WAC RECOGNITION
Brianna Ford (First Team) and
Paige Reagor (Second Team) earned all-conference recognition from the WAC on Wednesday. For more info on that, visit
here.
BLANK STREAK
Senior setter
Mollie Blank collected three WAC setter of the week awards this year, thanks in large part to a strong finish to the season that included averages of 40.5 assists, 7.5 digs and 2.3 kills over the final 11 matches. The Mansfield, Texas native has achieved at least 27 assists in those outings and has recorded at least one kill in 15 consecutive matches - including multiple terminations in 11 of those. She also has double-doubles in three of the past five matches and recently became the 10th player in program history to eclipse 2,000 assists. Her 9.19 assists per set this year easily surpasses her previous career-best of 5.84.

THE TERMINATOR
Despite a tough outing in the regular season finale, senior outside hitter
Brianna Ford averaged 17.1 kills, a .262 hitting percentage, 12.9 digs, 4.3 blocks, one assist and 1.3 aces over the past 12 matches. After having her streak of consecutive double-doubles snapped at six against UTRGV on Oct. 28, Ford started a new streak against SFA and has now produced 10 over the team's past 12 matches.
Â
In the Nov. 9 win over CBU, Ford hit .309 with 24 kills, 12 digs and a career-high nine blocks as she nearly became the first player in the program's past 13 years to record a triple-double. She settled for her 42nd career double-double, which moves her into a tie with Shawn Sweeten for the 11th-most in program history (1985-present). Her 1,228 career kills also puts her within 17 of surpassing Fannie Burton (1,245, 1991-94) for 12th on the program's all-time list.

REAGOR ON FIRE
After missing most of non-conference play due to an injury, senior middle blockerÂ
Paige Reagor finished the regular season in strong fashion, averaging 13.1 kills, a .426 hitting percentage and 4.8 blocks per match over the final 10 outings. She has double-digit terminations in nine of those 10, including a season-best 22 kills against Southern Utah, and she has produced 72 kills with just 10 errors while hitting .525 over the past six matches.
Â
On Oct. 14 against Tarleton, Reagor became the first UTA volleyball player to record a double-double in kills and blocks since Briana Sharatt totaled 10 kills and 11 blocks against Texas Southern on Sept. 12, 2014. In fact, Reagor produced just the 20th kill-block double-double in the program's history since 1987, and she's just the 12th player since then to record at least one.

BEST OFFENSIVE OUTING IN 30+ YEARS
As a team, UTA hit .550 against Seattle U on Nov. 4 to produce the program's best offensive performance since Nov. 20, 1992 against UTSA (.562). In fact, it was the program's fourth-best hitting percentage in any match since 1985, and they are only the second team to even eclipse .500 since 1992. Overall, it was only the 10th time since 1985 that UTA hit at least .500 in a match.

WELLS BREAKS RECORD IN DRAMATIC FASHION
Alli Wells, a graduate year libero, broke UTA's career digs record on the final rally of her home collegiate career against Seattle U on Nov. 4. It was the 2,034th career dig for the Waxahachie native, allowing her to break Alicia Shaffer's (2,033, 2008-11) record, setting off a celebration inside the CPC as the rally was capped by a kill fromÂ
Briana Brown to clinch a sweep. Wells now has 102 career matches with double-digit digs and enters the WAC tournament with 2,060, which ranks ninth-most among all current Division I players.
MISSING IN ACTION
The Mavs went 1-1 in the final weekend of the regular season, which included a win over California Baptist, without four players due to illness, including three starters -
Kortney Puckett,
Alyssa Duran and
Jalie Tritt. Freshman
Samantha Glenn also didn't make the trip.
Â
SHE'S BACK
After missing six matches, senior outside hitterÂ
