WICHITA, Kan.-- The UT Arlington women's tennis team (3-0) is ready to face Wichita State in their first match on the road this spring. They will face the Shockers at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Mavericks are coming off three sweeps at home over Dallas Baptist, Prairie View and Arkansas State. They defeated the Patriots and Red Wolves 4-0 and the Panthers 7-0.

Each team member is currently undefeated in singles for the spring season.
Tara Gorinsek has been dominant in the No. 3 position, with the most singles wins on the team so far. She is 3-0, with her opponents scoring no more than three games in each match.

Liz Chileno and
Sarina Reinertsen have been a power doubles team so far, going 3-0 on Court 2. They have helped the Mavericks earn the 1-0 lead in each match with wins over DBU, Prairie View and Arkansas State.

SCOUTING WICHITA STATE
The Shockers hold a 3-1 record for the spring season, with wins over Oral Roberts, Drake and Abilene Christian. The Mavericks are 3-8 overall against Wichita State. Their last match was in March 2022, where the Mavericks earned a 4-0 sweep over the Shockers.
