Â
LINEUP INFORMATION
This will be the first time in 112 days the Mavericks tee off in a tournament. UTA started the fall season struggling to stay consistent, but quickly regained momentum and placed 3rd in the season finale at Baylor's Bear Brawl on Halloween.
Â
Miya, now qualifying for his sixth-consecutive tournament, has led the way for the Mavs this year with an average score of 72.43. The New Zealand native will look to continue his strong start as he has finished top 15 in each of his last three events.
Â
The South African Cronje has been a consistent presence for the Mavs as he is the only player who has not posted a score higher than +6 this year. Cronje is also on pace to finish with career bests in tournaments played (five), average score (74.00) and score to par (2.50).
Â
Hicks, the fifth year, started the season off on fire by posting a cumulative score of -1 throughout his first six rounds. However, he followed it up with a cumulative +39 through the last eight rounds of the fall campaign. Hicks will be looking to get back to early season form coming off a nearly four-month hiatus from collegiate competition.
Â
Jones, who capped the fall with a career-best T-3 finish at the Bear Brawl, will try and continue his strong play at a rather tough and demanding Westwood GC. By qualifying for this tournament, Jones has now matched a single-season career high for tournaments played with six.
Â
Menacho, who has the Mavs lone ace, will also equal his career high for single-season tournaments played as this will be his fourth. The senior from Peru will be teeing it up in his first tournament since Oct. 11 at the Tempest Collegiate.
Â
NEXT UP
The Mavs will make the road trip to sunny California to participate in the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate from the Classic Club Course in Palm Desert next Wednesday-Friday, Mar. 1-3.
