FORT WORTH, Texas – The UT Arlington track and field teams returned for day two of the TCU Alumni Invite and ended the weekend with a day full of windy finishes and personal records.
Simona Cabella started the day on top in the women's pole vault with a winning clearance of 3.70m, jumping off at 3.65m.
Malaiya Jedkins set a personal best mark in the women's long jump at 5.85m, earning her a 1st finish.
Brady Shadrick completed the field events with a 3rd finish in the men's javelin throw with a 53.96m. Earlier in the day he set a PR in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.63.
In the women's 4x100m relay,
Madison Pippins,
Adeyemi Talabi,
Tatyana Terrell and
Mikeya Washington ran a stellar race to earn 3rd place with a season's best time of 45.71.
Alfredo Corona battled for a photo finish in the men's 1500m, just passing a TCU runner in the last few meters for the win with a time of 3:55.66. He later set a PR in the 800m with a time of 2:01.21.
Zaire Moore earned a win in the women's 100m hurdles in a stacked field with a time of 14.38.
Krystal Igbo wasn't far behind, placing 3rd with a time of 14.64. In the women's 400m, Tatyanna Terrell finished 2nd with a 55.98 after an amazing third leg in the 4x100m relay.
Khalid Mendez had a great day with a big PR of 10.45 in the men's 100m, just missing 3rd place. He would later go on to place 3rd in the 200m with a 21.31.
Freshman,
Krianne McBride continued to show her skills on the track with a 3rd finish in the women's 800m with a time of 2:20.46 and a PR of 10:58.77 in the 3000m.
Shelby West remains undefeated in the 400m hurdles this season, crushing the competition with a time of 1:01.38. In the men's 400m hurdles,
Devien Davis placed 2nd with a time of 56.59.
The men's and women's 4x400m relay teams closed the meet with two 2nd place finishes.

Glodis Thuridardottir and
Tatyana Terrell battled for the 2nd place position with SMU, but it was Terrell who delivered an amazing last 200m that claimed the silver in the women's competition.

Luke Bontke and
Jarvis Miles ended the day with a fight to the finish and a final time of 3:16.58.

- Tanner Henderson placed 2nd in the men's 3000m steeple chase with a time of 10:19.43.
- Isabel Borrego with a PR of 4:54.72 in the women's 1500m.
- Patrick Estes set a PR of 4:03.66 in the men's 1500m.
- Nolan Walker placed 4th in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.50.
- Levi Bontke set a PR in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.44 and a PR in the long jump with a mark of 6.31m.
- Luke Bontke with a PR in the long jump with a mark of 6.36m.
- Julia Glenn with a PR of 1:03.71 in the women's 400m.
- Jarvis Miles placed 5th in the men's 400m with a time of 49.73.
- Mikeya Washington placed 5th in the 100m with a time of 11.80.
- Tatyana Terrell placed 4th in the 200m with a time of 24.27.
- Rogelio Aguirre placed 5th in the men's 3000m with a time of 8:54.02.
- Tres Rodriguez finished 5th in the men's shot put with a PR of 15.26m.
- On day one, Josh Hoekendorf placed 3rd in the men's hammer throw with a mark of 53.47m.
