ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are set to compete in the Clyde Hart Classic hosted by Baylor this Friday and Saturday, March 24-25.
The meet will be held at the Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium and begins at 12 p.m. with the women's hammer throw and concludes on Saturday at 5:45 p.m. with the men's 4x400m relay.

COMPETING TEAMS
Along with UTA and host Baylor, the following teams are scheduled to compete: Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, TCU, Minnesota, Oklahoma State, Michigan State, Louisiana Tech, Stephen F. Austin, Tarleton, and Grambling.
STORYLINES
- Simona Cabella won the pole vault at the TCU Alumni Invitational with a clearance of 3.70m.
- Khalid Mendez sits in 3rd in the WAC standings and 32nd in the NCAA in the men's 100m, with a time of 10.45.
- Four Lady Mavericks sit in the top 40 in the NCAA in the women's 100m: Madison Pippins, 28th with a time of 11.60, Adeyemi Talabi, 32nd with a time of 11.63, Mikeya Washington, 35th with a time of 11.64, and Tatyana Terrell, 38th with a time of 11.66. The four Mavs sit in the top four spots in the WAC.
- The women's 4x100 relay team, consisting of Pippins, Talabi, Terrell, and Washington, come in at 32nd in the NCAA and 3rd in the WAC with a time of 45.71.
- In the men's triple jump, Marvin Walford is ranked 21st in the nation and 2nd in the WAC with a mark of 14.63m. Obi Ugwu is 3oth in the NCAA and 3rd in the WAC with a mark of 14.55m.
- Josh Hoekendorf has the 3rd best mark in the WAC for the hammer throw, with a mark of 53.47m.
- Jackson Cichon sits 30th in the nation and 1st in the WAC in the men's 800m with a time of 1:51.67.
- Krianne McBride comes in with the 3rd best time in the WAC in the women's 800m with a time of 2:15.94.
- The women's 4x400 relay team consisting of Zaire Moore, Shelby West, Glodis Thuridardottir, and Tatyana Terrell currently are ranked 30th in the NCAA and 2nd in the WAC with a time of 3:48.13.

UTA will be back in action at the 95th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas beginning on Wednesday, March 29 and wrapping up on Saturday, April 1.
