- Hicks led the Mavs last time out at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at +1 (69-73-75). The Arlington native – who has a 73.77 scoring average this season – has once again produced another great year as he's on track to record a career high in par-or-better rounds (currently with nine) as well as match his most rounds in a season with 31 (currently with 26). Additionally, he is the only Mav regular in the lineup this year who has yet to produce an 'other' score – nothing higher than a double bogey.
 - Miya bounced back from a season-worst leaderboard finish with his fourth top 25 of the year at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at +2 (68-76-74). The New Zealand native leads UTA this year in scoring average (73.46) and par-or-better rounds (10).
 - Cronje has been Mr. Consistent for the Mavs as he has yet to card a round above +6 and ranks 2nd on the team with a 73.54 scoring average. However, he has not posted a round under par since the final round at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate on Mar. 3. It has been a career year for the South African as he has posted a career best in low round (68), rounds in 60s (four), par-or-better rounds (nine), score to par (1.81) and tournaments played (nine).
 - Jones will be looking to bounce back from a season-worst-tying score at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic thanks in large part to an uncharacteristic 84 in the final round. The graduate student carries a 74.50 scoring average this year with eight par-or-better rounds and a pair of rounds in the 60s, including a team-low 67.
 - Beck has now qualified for four tournaments, and is coming off a T-2 showing at the unofficial Spring Indy at WinStar last week with a -5 (72-69-70) showing. The freshman has struggled to maintain consistent low scores, but a more forgiving course at Tunica National should help bolster confidence heading into the WAC Championship.
The Mavs will head to the WAC Championship at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev., Apr. 28-30. This will be the first time the Mavs compete in the WAC Championship since their only other year in the league in 2012-13 when UTA placed 2nd.
