KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UT Arlington's Aaron Cash and Pedro Castro were both named to the 2022-23 National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court on Thursday in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements.
Â
The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players across all levels of college who finished the 2022-23 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Â
Cash, a transfer who will be returning for his second season with UTA in 2023-24, carries a 3.4 cumulative GPA in University Studies entering his grad school year. Castro graduated with a 3.8 cumulative GPA following a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.
Â
It marks the second-straight year Castro has been named an NABC Honors Court member as he also garnered the award following the 2021-22 season. Both Castro and Cash were named 2022-23Â Academic All-WAC honorees as well earlier this week.

"Education is a core value of the NABC, and we are privileged to recognize these outstanding student-athletes and the coaches and support staff who invest in their development," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson.
