UT Arlington Track & Field Release 2025 Indoor Schedule

ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington track and field teams unveiled the indoor portion of their 2025 schedule which features eight regular season meets, including six meets in the great state of Texas.
 
Two Mavericks will kick off their season in Boston, Massachusetts at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener hosted by Boston University on Saturday, Dec. 7. This features some of the nation's top distance runners, and UTA's very own Winnie Kipsang will run in the women's one mile, scheduled for a 9:50 a.m. central time start while Alex Kalmar will run in the men's one mile run at 10:15 a.m. central time start.
 
"They can kick off their indoor season with a tremendous start against some of the nation's top distance runners," said head coach John Sauerhage. "Very optimistic they both can break school records."
 
The entirety of the Mavs men's and women's teams will kick off the 2025 indoor campaign in College Station, Texas at the McFerrin-12 Degree Invitational hosted by Texas A&M on Friday, Jan. 10.
 
The following week, a portion of the Mavs will compete at the Owen Hewitt Invitational in Norman, Okla. on Friday, Jan. 17, while the other portion will be in Lubbock, Texas at the Corky Classic from Jan. 17-18. 
 
From Jan. 24-25, UTA will return to College Station for the Ted Nelson Invitational. The Mavs return to the Ted Nelson Invitational for the first time since the 2022 season.
 
Ending January and kicking off February for the Mavs is the Stan Scott Invite & Multi. The meet sees UTA return to Lubbock on Jan. 30 through Feb. 1.
 
From Feb. 7-8, the Mavs return to College Station for the final time during indoor season for the Charlie Thomas Invitational.
 
The final regular season meet sees the Mavs return to Lubbock for the final time during indoor season when they compete in the Jarvis Scott Invitational from Feb.14-15. This is the second indoor season in a row that the Mavs have competed at the Jarvis Scott Invitational.
 
The Western Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships will be taking place in Spokane, Wash. From Feb. 28 through March 1. The women's team finished third overall last season while the men finished fourth overall at the 2024 WAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
 
The 2025 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships take place in Virginia Beach, Va. starting on Friday, March 14, and conclude on Saturday, March 15.
