TULSA, Okla.-- The UT Arlington women's tennis team (7-3) is set for a series of weekend matches in Tulsa as they look to take on Oral Roberts on Saturday (1 p.m.) and Tulsa on Sunday (11 a.m.).

The Mavericks are coming off a strong 4-1 win over Big 12 conference team Houston. The victory in Houston marked their fourth consecutive win over the Cougars and gave the team their seventh win heading into the weekend's matches.

Bruna Casasampere and
Francisca Vergara hold the most doubles wins in the spring as the primary No. 2 team for the Mavs. Their 6-2 victory over Houston put them at six wins on the season, as well as their strong win over SMU.

Sarina Reinertsen and
Ana Paula Jimenez also earned a strong win over the Cougars, dropping only one game for their fifth win of the spring and sixth overall on Court 3.

In singles action, Casasampere continues to show success between lines 5 and 6, as she holds a 7-2 record in the spring. Most recently, she earned a dominant win over Houston's Sonya Kovalenko 6-1, 6-1.

Mariana Manyoma-Velasquez also has seven wins in the spring and looks to continue her four-match winning streak. She earned a strong win over Houston's Gabriela Cortes at the No. 4 position in straight sets. In UTA's match against TCU, she earned one point for the Mavs with a strong win on Court 4 over Helena Narmount.

SCOUTING ORAL ROBERTS
The Golden Eagles are 1-7 in the spring season so far. They lost to UTA's fellow WAC opponent Tarleton State 6-1 as well as defeated Prairie View A&M 4-3. The Mavericks hold a 1-1 record with the Golden Eagles after their most recent meeting in 2017, where UTA won 7-0 at the UTA Tennis Center.

SCOUTING TULSA
The Golden Hurricanes hold a 6-7 record in the spring. Most recently, they defeated Furman 4-2 and suffered losses to two ranked teams, Illinois and Arizona. The Mavericks have yet to defeat the Golden Hurricanes, as they hold a 0-6 record since their last meeting in 2013 where they lost 0-7 in Tulsa.
