AUSTIN, Texas – The UT Arlington track and field team competed in day two of the Texas Relays, highlighted by three top-10 performances..
The decathlon concluded with five events today starting with the 110m hurdles where
Brady Shadrick placed 12th with a time of 15.83 for 752 points. In the next event, the discus throw, Shadrick placed 10th with a throw of 36.78m, giving him 599 points for the round. Up next was the pole vault where he finished 4th with 4.80m leap to give him 849 points. Shadrick then finished 7
th in the javelin throw with a jump of 53.40m hurl to gain 639 points. The decathlon concluded with the 1500m run where Shadrick gained 390 points, which brought his total throughout the event to 6940 points, finishing 9th overall.
Zaire Moore competed in the women's 400m hurdles and ran a time of 1:01.94. In the women's 800m,
Winnie Kipsang finished in 8th place, running a time of 2:07.31.
In the women's 5000m,
Matro Jepkemboi placed 7th in a loaded field with a time of 16:38.71.
Day three of the Texas Relays is scheduled for Friday, Mar. 28, with a full day of events starting off with the men's discus throw at 9 a.m.
