DALLAS, Texas – The UT Arlington track & field team will close out the regular outdoor season this weekend, traveling across town to compete at the SMU Invite at Washburne Soccer and Track Stadium. The Mavericks will compete from Friday, May 1 through Saturday, May 2.
Friday's events will begin with the men's hammer throw, long jump and high jump at 4 p.m., followed by the women.
Running events start at 6:30 p.m. with the women's 200m, followed by the men's race at 6:55 p.m. The women's 3K steeplechase is scheduled for 7:20 p.m., with the men's race at 7:40 p.m. The evening concludes with the 5000m, as the women's race begins at 7:55 p.m. and the men's race at 8:20 p.m.
Saturday's events open with the men's javelin at 8:30 a.m., followed by the women. Additional field events include men's and women's pole vault, shot put, triple jump and discus.
Track events begin at noon with the women's and men's 4x100-meter relay. Running events will also include the 1500m, 100m hurdles, 110m hurdles, 400m, 100m, 400m hurdles and 800m.
The meet will conclude with the women's 4x400m relay at 4:25 p.m., followed by the men's 4x400m relay at 4:35 p.m.
