ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington volleyball team begins its 2024 season starting with the Sawyer Camillo Memorial Classic this Friday through Sunday in Lafayette, Louisiana.
The Mavs open the tournament on Friday against Murray State at 3 p.m. CT. Following Friday's game, the Mavs will face off against Jackson State on Saturday and Louisiana-Lafayette on Sunday, both matches starting at 11 a.m.
SEASON OUTLOOK
After finishing fourth in the regular season standings last year (21-11, 9-7 WAC), the Mavs were tabbed to finish second this season in a vote by WAC head coaches. Additionally, the Mavs received the most first-place votes out of any team in the conference with five out of nine votes. In the preseason awards, both
Paige Reagor and
Brianna Ford earned All-WAC honors while
Mollie Blank was named Preseason Setter of the Year.
