DALLAS, Texas – The UT Arlington women's tennis team (0-1) is set to bounce back from their season opening loss to the Cougars of Houston when they travel up the highway to take on SMU (1-3) at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Thursday, Ja. 29, at 5 p.m.
The Mavericks look to pick up their first win of the season in their second road game. In their first road game, the Mavs were swept by the Cougars 4-0.
UTA holds a 5-15 overall record against SMU with a 1-9 record on the road. The Mavs are currently in the midst of a seven-game losing streak in the series.
SCOUTING SMU
The Mustangs won their season opener over Abilene Christian before dropping their next three matches against No. 21 Vanderbilt, Arkansas and Clemson, all coming on the road. SMU is 1-0 at home in the early portion of the season.
