ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington baseball head coach
Mike Trapasso announced the 2026 baseball schedule on Thursday. The 50-game slate includes 25 home games at Clay Gould Ballpark, 24 road games and one neutral site game (at Globe Life Field in Arlington).
"We're excited about this season's schedule," Trapasso said. "It's filled with quality opponents top to bottom. And our fans will enjoy seeing some teams from outside our geographic region come to Arlington. This year's WAC schedule is only 18 games, so it will be a sprint to the finish! It should be a lot of fun! Mav Up!"
The non-conference slate for the Mavericks includes five teams who made regionals last season, with two of those teams advancing to the super regionals and one making it to the College World Series, with Arkansas, who fell in the semifinal round in Omaha.
UTA will open the season on the road in Natchitoches, Louisiana with a three-game series against Northwestern State (Feb. 13-15) before returning to Arlington to take on TCU at Globe Life Field (Feb. 17).
The Mavs will host Lamar for the first home series at Clay Gould Ballpark (Feb. 20-22) before welcoming Dallas Baptist to Arlington two days later (Feb. 24).
UTA hits the road again to conclude the month of February and start March with a three-game set against the Razorbacks of Arkansas (Feb. 27 – March 1).
The Mavs then return home for four games, starting with a midweek bout with Air Force (March 2) and welcome Louisiana Monroe for a three-game weekend series (March 6-8). UTA then hits the road for the next four games, starting with a trip to Norman for a midweek battle with Oklahoma (March 10) before a trip down to San Antonio for a three-game series at UTSA (March 13-15).
Returning home for the next four games, the Mavs welcome the Lumberjacks of SFA to Arlington (March 17) for a midweek game before turning their attention to Big East foe St. John's for a three-game set (March 20-22). UTA travels for another midweek game, this time at Sam Houston (March 24).
A seven game homestand at the friendly confines of Clay Gould Ballpark is on tap after the trip to Huntsville, Texas, starting with Villanova for a three-game series (March 27-29) to wrap up the month.
The Mavs then kick off Western Athletic Conference action when they welcome Tarleton State to the Dream City to begin the month of April (April 2-4). UTA wraps the homestand with a midweek contest against Baylor (April 7).
UTA makes the trip to Riverside for their first road WAC series against California Baptist (April 10-12). The Mavs then return to the Lone Star State for a midweek bout at DBU (April 14).
UTA's next conference series sees the Mavs host Sacramento State (April 17-19) before hitting the road for a six-game stretch, starting with a quick trip to Nacogdoches for a midweek matchup with SFA (April 21). The Mavs then travel to Abilene for a three-game WAC series against the Wildcats of Abilene Christian (April 24-26). UTA finishes that road trip with a pair of midweek games, starting with Baylor (April 28) before a quick turnaround to battle TCU in Fort Worth (April 29).
The Mavs final home series kicks off play in the month of May when they welcome Utah Tech to Clay Gould Ballpark (May 8-10). UTA wraps up the 2026 regular season campaign on the road at Utah Valley (May 14-16).
UTA will then travel to Mesa, Ariz. for the 2026 University Credit Union WAC Tournament (May 19-23) where they look to punch their ticket to the NCAA Regionals.
