Track & Field Prepped For Big Weekend At The Charlie Thomas Invitational

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The UT Arlington track and field teams return to College Station to compete in the Charlie Thomas Invitational hosted by Texas A&M from Friday, Feb. 7, through Saturday, Feb. 8, at the R.A. 'Murray' Fasken '38 Indoor Track and Field facility. Events begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.

The Mavericks prepare for their fifth meet of the indoor season, with both the men's and women's teams holding some of the top times and marks in the Western Athletic Conference. This will be the second time this season the Mavs have traveled to Texas A&M and would've been the third if UTA participated in the McFerrin-12 Degree Invitational but withdrew due to the winter weather that hit Texas that made for unsafe travel conditions.

The Mavs as a whole return to action after a week away from competition with just the pole vaulters competing in the JD Martin Invitational last Friday.
