ABILENE, Texas – The UT Arlington women's tennis team returns to action in their second tournament of the 2024 fall season this Friday, September 26, through Sunday, September 28, at the ACU Invite from the Judi and Cecil Eager Tennis Pavilion in Abilene.
The tournament will run all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday with play beginning each day at 9 a.m. CT. In the full draws, participants will get three doubles matches and three singles matches.
The scoring format is as such: singles will be 2 out of 3 no ad scoring, with a 10 pt breaker for 1st round and consolation. Second round Main Draw and finals matches will be a full 3rd set. Doubles will be a 6 game set no ad scoring.
Along with host Abilene Christian, UTA will be joined by Louisiana Tech, New Mexico State, Sam Houston, SMU, Stephen F. Austin, Tarleton State, Texas State, Texas Tech and UTSA.

Tasnime Ahamout won her singles flight while Ahamout and fellow freshman
Natalia Gonzalez captured the doubles title marking two championships for the Mavs in their first fall tournament.
The squad this year is comprised of seven newcomers with Ahamout and Gonzalez joined by
Vanja Cado,
Flora Farkaslaki,
Diana Kaibara,
Liza Mladentseva and
Sofia Selle.
