HOUSTON, Texas – The UT Arlington men's golf team concluded play with the final round of the Bayou City Collegiate Classic from the Westwood Golf Club down in Houston on Tuesday. The Mavericks shot a combined 883, with a 303 on Tuesday.
UTA finishes the tournament tied with fellow Western Athletic Conference foe, Utah Valley. Both teams finished with a score of 883 with UTA turning in rounds of 290-290-303 while UVU finished with rounds of 295-297-291.
Freshman
Ajay Morris led the surge for the Mavs, continuing his hot play from day one and carrying it over into the final round which was his best, finishing three under par to bring his three round total to five under par. Morris finished with rounds of 71-71-69 (211) to finished tied for seventh overall, wrapping up the third fall tournament and marking the second straight competition in which the freshman has led the way for the Mavs. Morris finished the final round with six birdies, finishing the tournament with 12.

Arth Sinha, who finished tied for 31st overall after finishing the final round four over par. Sinha turned in rounds of 74-71-76 to wrap up play with a score of 221.

UTA returns to action for the final time this fall, hitting the road to Monterey, California for the three-day Saint Mary's Golf Invitational that begins on Monday, October 20, and wraps up on Wednesday, October 22.
