HOUSTON, Texas – The UT Arlington track & field team will be represented by a select group of jumpers, multi specialists and distance runners at the Robert Platt Invitational, hosted by the University of Houston, on Friday, Jan. 30 and Saturday, Jan. 31, at Yeoman Fieldhouse in Houston.
Competition will begin Friday morning with the pentathlon at 11 a.m. CT, followed by the heptathlon at 11:30 a.m. The pentathlon will conclude later in the day with the women's 800m at 3 p.m., while the first half of the men's heptathlon will wrap up Friday with the high jump at 2:50 p.m.
Field events are scheduled to begin Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. with the women's pole vault and will conclude with the men's and women's triple jump at 4:30 p.m.
Running events will start Friday evening at 4 p.m., opening with the women's and men's 1000m runs. Friday's competition will conclude with the women's and men's mile races, with day one scheduled to finish at approximately 8 p.m.
Saturday's action will resume with field events beginning at 10:30 a.m., starting with the women's and men's high jump. Field competition will conclude with the men's and women's long jump, starting at 2 p.m.
The heptathlon will continue Saturday at 11 a.m., beginning with the 60m hurdles and finishing with the 1000m run at 3:15 p.m.
Saturday's running events will commence at noon with the women's and men's 200m races. The meet will conclude with the women's and men's 4x400 relay races, with a projected finish time of 5:30 p.m.
