FORT WORTH, Texas – The UT Arlington women's tennis team is set to face its second Big 12 opponent in as many days, making the short trip over to Fort Worth for a match against the TCU Horned Frogs. The matchup begins at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
The Mavericks (0-1) have a full weekend, taking on the Arizona Wildcats Saturday at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex in Dallas before their match with the Horned Frogs.
UTA has run the gamut of Big 12 opponents this spring. The Mavericks lone dual match of the spring came against another one of the conference's schools — the Houston Cougars — back on Jan. 22. The Mavericks lost 4-0, with Diana Kaibara picking up the lone set victory for UTA in the match before it was left unfinished.
TCU has won all 20 matches against UTA in the series history. This will be the third season in a row the two have met.
