Day One Results -- Charlie Thomas Texas A&M Invitational
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The UT Arlington track and field team opened competition at the Charlie Thomas Invitational with a strong showing on Friday at the Fasken Indoor Track, highlighted by two top-four finishes and multiple personal records.
Eliza Lemberga led the way for the Mavericks, placing fourth in the pentathlon with a personal best score of 4,052 points. After today, her performance in the pentathlon currently ranks 15
th in the nation.
In the women's weight throw, senior
Jaalah Puryear earned a fourth-place finish after matching her personal-best mark of 16.72 meters. Esther Adidire also posted a personal record in the event, throwing 15.75 meters to secure an eighth-place finish.
Freshman
Arieanna Mcpeak also posted a personal best in the women's long jump (5.82m), earning ninth place.
Ardo Cserni tied his personal best in the men's pole vault (4.60m), as did
Bryce Vaughn in the men's long jump with a 6.63m mark.

The Mavericks will continue competition on Saturday, the last day of the Charlie Thomas Invitational at the Fasken Indoor Track.
