Mavericks Travel to Dallas Baptist for Midweek Matchup

ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington Mavericks make the short trip to Dallas on Tuesday for a midweek matchup with Dallas Baptist at Horner Ballpark. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.

UTA enters the game at 14-20 overall and 3-3 in Western Athletic Conference play, while Dallas Baptist comes in at 21-15. The Mavericks will look for revenge after dropping a 6-1 decision to the Patriots at Clay Gould Ballpark on Feb. 24 in the teams' first meeting of the season.

Kyle Winkler continues to provide steady work with a 2.76 ERA over eight appearances, working 32.2 innings with 16 strikeouts and three wins. Out of the bullpen, Merek Sears has been effective with a 3.00 ERA and two saves in 33.0 innings, while Hayes Melville carries a 3.38 ERA with three saves in 17 appearances.
