MCKINNEY, Texas – UT Arlington men's golf is set to begin its postseason close to home, making the short trek up to McKinney for the 2026 Western Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship. UTA is one of seven teams competing in the tournament.

The Mavericks are coming off an 18th-place finish at the El Macero Classic in their regular-season finale. Despite a strong 4-over-par 292 in the first round that had UTA tied for fourth after day one, the Mavericks ultimately finished with a 44-over 908.

UTA will roll with the same five that it did in the El Macero Classic.

INSIDE THE LINEUP
Arth Sinha

• Sinha paced the Mavericks at the El Macero Classic, finishing in a tie for 16th place with a 4-over 220. The freshman was steady throughout, opening with an even-par 72 followed by a pair of 2-over 74's.

Ajay Morris

• Morris finished alone in 85th place with a 17-over 233. The freshman's tournament was highlighted by a 2-over 74 in the opening round.  

Nicholas Lyman

• The Mavericks second-best finish at the El Macero Classic came courtesy of Lyman. The freshman finished tied for 61st with a 13-over 229. Lyman's best round was an even-par 72 in the opening 18 holes.

Matthew Broder

• Broder's play has continued to trend up as the junior finished the El Macero Classic just one stroke back of Lyman and in a tie for 67th. The junior made par on 12 holes in his 2-over 74 opening round and birdied a pair of holes in his final round, tied for the most on the team.

Michael Chevalier

• Chevalier finished tied for 90th, shooting a 19-over 235. The junior's efforts were highlighted by a 3-over 75 in the first round.
