ARLINGTON – UT Arlington softball and head coach
Kara Dill have announced the addition of Texas Tech and Ole Miss junior transfer Sydney Shiller to join the 2026-27 roster.

Shiller, a native of Jourdanton, Texas, arrives at UTA after spending the 2026 season at Ole Miss and her freshman campaign at Texas Tech. During her time with the Rebels, she appeared in four games as a pinch runner, helping Ole Miss earn victories over CSUN and Mercer while contributing defensively in wins against UT Martin and North Alabama.
As a freshman at Texas Tech, Shiller appeared in 23 games primarily as a pinch runner, scoring eight runs while going a perfect 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts.
A 2024 graduate of Jourdanton High School, Shiller was ranked No. 18 outfielder in the nation in the 2024 class by Extra Inning Softball. She helped lead the Indians to an undefeated district championship while earning All-State honors and four District Offensive Player of the Year awards. Shiller was also named to the TGCA and TSWA All-State teams.
As a high school senior, she posted a .667 batting average with 33 stolen bases and 45 runs scored. A standout multi-sport athlete, Shiller competed in volleyball, basketball golf and track & field during her high school career.
Off the field, Shiller was a member of National Honor Society, earned TGCA All-Academic honors and graduated as a Principal's Honor Graduate.
