DESTIN, Fla. — Jen Chie Huang remained atop the individual leaderboard Tuesday as the UT Arlington men's golf team completed the second round of the Sandestin Collegiate Classic at Sandestin Resort & Club.

Huang followed his opening-round 64 with a 3-under 67 to move to 9-under 131 through 36 holes. He holds a one-stroke lead over West Florida's Hector Arriaga and Ethan Weinberg, who are tied for second at 8 under.

UTA carded a 6-over 286 in the second round and sits in ninth place at 6-over 566 overall. The Mavericks are one stroke behind eighth-place High Point and three behind Houston Christian in seventh. Mercer leads the 14-team field at 11-under 549, five strokes ahead of Louisiana and Central Arkansas, which are tied for second.

Michael Chevalier recorded a 2-over 72 for the second consecutive round and sits tied for 42nd at 4-over 144. Joseph Hayden followed his opening-round 72 with a 3-over 73 and is tied for 49th at 5-over 145. Austin Dennis shot a 4-over 74 and is tied for 55th at 6-over 146.

Edward Procter improved by three strokes from Monday, firing an 8-over 78 after an opening-round 81. He sits in 79th place at 19-over 159.

Huang's 67 was UTA's low round of the day and marked his second consecutive round under par. Through two rounds, he is nine strokes under par on the 6,901-yard, par-70 Raven course.

The Mavericks will return to the course Wednesday for the third round of the Sandestin Collegiate Classic.
