DESTIN, Fla. — Jen Chie Huang finished one stroke shy of the individual title Wednesday as the UT Arlington men's golf team wrapped up play at the Sandestin Collegiate Classic at Raven Golf Club.

Huang entered the final round with the individual lead and carded an even-par 70 to finish the tournament at 9-under 201. West Florida individual Hector Arriaga fired a 2-under 68 to finish at 10-under 200 and claim the individual title by one stroke. West Florida's Preston Severs finished third at 8 under.

Huang opened the tournament with a 6-under 64 before following with rounds of 67 and 70. His runner-up finish led the Mavericks throughout the three-day event.

UTA posted a 10-over 290 in Wednesday's final round to finish tied for 10th with Houston Christian at 16-over 856. The Mavericks opened with an even-par 280 Monday before shooting a 6-over 286 in the second round.

West Florida and Mercer finished tied atop the team leaderboard at 2-under 838. Central Arkansas finished one stroke back in third at 1-under 839, while Louisiana placed fourth at 1-over 841.

Michael Chevalier turned in his third consecutive 2-over 72 to finish tied for 39th at 6-over 216. Joseph Hayden closed with a 4-over 74 and finished tied for 50th at 9-over 219, while Austin

Dennis also shot a 74 to finish tied for 56th at 10-over 220. Edward Procter rounded out the UTA lineup with an 8-over 78, finishing 78th at 27-over 237.

The three-day tournament was played on the 6,901-yard, par-70 Raven course at Sandestin Resort & Club.
